Brazos Valley Affiliate History
In September 2010, several women in the Bryan-College Station area met to discuss the possibility of forming a Brazos Valley Affiliate chapter. The concept was met with enthusiasm and energy. The decision was made at that meeting to proceed with formation of the Brazos Valley Affiliate, with 15 founding members.
We continue to grow and our activities provide women engaged in public service in the Brazos Valley with opportunities to gain knowledge and experience, and to meet other women involved in public service. We have access to a host of enriching events such as monthly luncheons featuring engaging speakers, brown-bag mini courses, and community service opportunities, as well as the EWTG Annual Professional Development Conference. We are looking forward to expanding our local membership affiliation and gaining more insight into what other affiliates are doing and how we can make a difference in our community.
