History
Executive Women in Texas Government (EWTG) was founded in 1984 by six visionary women who recognized the need for women in higher levels of state government to have an educational and networking support group. The first meeting was announced by word-of-mouth and over 100 women attended!

Only members can view the directory and must be logged into their EWTG profile to access it. Members can choose what profile information is visible in the directory.
Newsletters
EWTG publishes a monthly e-newsletter called The Star that is distributed to all members and subscribers. It provides information about upcoming events, messages from the President and Board of Directors, recaps of previous events, inspirational and informative leadership tips, helpful information for new members, and more.
Affiliates
EWTG Affiliates are an extension of our organization dedicated to spreading our mission and supporting our purpose in communities beyond Austin. Join EWTG Affiliates or visit Brazos Valley for more information on current affiliates.
Mini-Courses
EWTG holds virtual Mini Courses during the lunch hour on the second Wednesday of most months. Members and non-members are welcome to attend. Only members can watch recordings of previous mini course webinars and must be logged into their EWTG profile to access them.
Scholarships
Did you know each year EWTG awards scholarships to its members to support professional or personal development and encourage EWTG participation? EWTG scholarships allow members an opportunity to enhance their skills or learn new ones through training, coursework, conferences, and more. Active EWTG members are encouraged to learn more and apply for a scholarship!
